The 2010 European Tour is renowned for providing spectators with some of the best golf viewing in the whole world, with numerous big golfing names competing throughout the year in an array of tournaments which includes some of the best loved courses. The ‘Race to Dubai’ is the final event on The European Tour which finishes in November.

One of the most prestigious golf tournaments is taking place in July 2010 at the infamous St Andrews course on 15 Jul 2010 – 18 Jul 2010. With this tournament being the only ‘major’ played outside of the US, it is one event that every professional golf player wants to win, not least the current champion, Stewart Cink, from the USA. Played just the week before The Open Championship which is at St Andrews this year, The Barclays Scottish Open will see some of the best golf professionals in the world competing as part of the brilliant European Tour. Some players will then go on to compete in The Open Championship following on from this event, for example Phil Mickelson and Retief Goosen are just two of the big names in both. The Barclays Scottish Open takes place at Loch Lomond GC on 08 Jul 2010 – 11 Jul 2010.

The US Open begins June 17th, ending on Father’s Day. Any other normal year the favourite would be Tiger Wood’s on a course that lays out like this one in Pebble Beach. Tiger has always performed well on the Pebble Beach course and if he is even at 75% of his game he will be a contender.

The AT&T Classic is this weekend ( May 17-20 2007) this event first took place in 1967 as the Atlantic Classic and was recently known as the Bellsouth Classic.
