Scottish Open Golf 2010 Preview

Played just the week before The Open Championship which is at St Andrews this year, The Barclays Scottish Open will see some of the best golf professionals in the world competing as part of the brilliant European Tour. Some players will then go on to compete in The Open Championship following on from this event, for example Phil Mickelson and Retief Goosen are just two of the big names in both. The Barclays Scottish Open takes place at Loch Lomond GC on 08 Jul 2010 – 11 Jul 2010.
The current Scottish Open winner is German, Martin Kaymer, who only just turned professional in 2005! Since turning professional, he has tucked away 13 professional wins and will no doubt be looking to retain the title this July. He will have a number of great players to compete against though, for example the current 2010 Masters champion, Phil Mickelson who is favourite at Sky Bet to pick up the The Scottish Open crown. Martin Kaymer is priced up alongside Ernie Els so it will be a difficult competition no doubt between these two golfing greats. An each way bet on England golfer Graeme McDowell might be worth taking a look at as he won this event the year before Kaymer. Not only that, he is the current US Open Champion, which was his first win on the PGA Tour so he has got to be in the running.
Sky Bet are offering a whole host of golf markets on this competition including the market of first round leader, to make/miss the cut and also event specials such as a hole in one!
