Tri Nations Rugby 2010 Preview
The 2010 Tri Nations rugby union tournament gets underway on the 10th July and it is promising to be a fantastic series of matches. As the name suggests, three nations will come together very soon and play some of the best rugby union you will ever see.
South Africa are the current holders of this prestigious competition and will be looking to hang on to it for dear life however as the previous winner before this, of four consecutive years as well, New Zealand will be looking to take it right back! They will start their campaign off to do this straight away in the opening game of this tournament on the 10th July in Auckland. Finishing in September, it is a long event where every one of the three nations will have something to prove. For South Africa, it’s going to be about showing the other two nations why they should remain champions, for New Zealand, they will want to get that crown back and as for the Australians, who haven’t won the Tri Nations since 2002, will want to make their first statement as the team to beat when they meet South Africa in Brisbane on the 24th July.
