Chris Hutchings became the fourth manager to leave their post in the premiership this season,  as Wigan slumped into the bottom 3 in the premiership.  Chairman Dave Whelan has wielded the axe to try to ensure they stay in the premiership.

Hutchings had been at the club for six years,  and helped them go from no where in the lower leagues to the premiership.
