Wimbledon 2010 Preview Mens Singles Contenders

Wimbledon 2010 takes place from 21st – 4th July at The All England Lawn Tennis Championships, Wimbledon, Wimbledon, England.Roger Federer may not be on his best form coming into Wimbledon 2010, but he still has to be considered the favourite. Should Federer claim the men’s singles title, it will be his 7th. Standing in his way are a host of players including former champions Rafael Nadal and Lleyton Hewitt.

Rafael Nadal has regained the number one ranking and a win at Wimbledon will solidify his ranking. Nadal won the title in 2008 and no less than 24 hours after his title at Roland Garros he was on the grass courts of Queen’s Club adjusting to the fast grass courts.

Also lurking is Scot, Andy Murray. Murray has had a series of disappointing results throughout the spring and there is nothing on his recent resume to suggest he will be a factor at The Championships. Murray wants to win Wimbledon more than any other tournament, and should he find his game he could go deep into the draw.

3-time finalist Andy Roddick will be hoping for fast conditions as will big servers Novak Djokovic, Sam Querrey, Marin Cilic, and John Isner. French Open finalist Robin Soderling will be a question mark on the grass, if he can work his way into the second week, he could upset one of the top guns.

Also be on the watch for upcoming stars Tomas Berdych, Fernado Verdasco of Spain, and Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil
