Wimbledon Betting Murray Title Odds

Wimbledon betting has gone into overdrive following Andy Murray’s progression to the semi-finals at SW19. After sweeping aside Juan Carlos Ferrero, Andy Murray’s odds of beating two-time finalist Andy Roddick currently stand at 2/7. Roddick is 11/4 to stop Murray from reaching his first Wimbledon final. Having already beaten the American on six occasions, including a straight-sets win at Wimbledon in 2006, Murray’s odds of dispatching the big-serving American in straight sets are 11/8. Another bet that might catch the eye of tennis betting aficionados is 100/30 for Murray to lose the first set but bounce back to take the match.

Murray’s odds of out-acing Roddick on Friday are 9/4 with Sky Bet. He is the underdog here, but he out-aced the former world number one in their last two encounters on hard courts and so is not without a chance.

Sky Bet have produced a wide range of Wimbledon betting specials, offering 7/4 for there to be two or more tie breaks in the Roddick v Murray match, 14/1 for any set to finish 6-0 and 5/1 for Murray to serve a double fault in his first service game.

Sky Bet’s Wimbledon betting compiler, Chris Kennedy, said: “Murray looks a solid favourite to get past Roddick in tomorrow’s semi-final. The Scot dispatched him at Wimbledon with ease back in 2006 and the American will need an incredible serving day to beat him tomorrow. Early indications suggest that the money will be split on this match with the 11/4 on Roddick a big enough price to tempt some of the punters in.”

In Sky Bet’s outright Wimbledon betting for the men’s singles, Andy Murray is 5/2 second favourite, behind the formidable 2/5 favourite, Roger Federer. The Swiss master, who is on course to set a new record of 15 Grand Slam titles, is 1/14 to beat Tommy Haas (7/1) tomorrow and 8/13 to win in straight sets.

The dream final of Federer v Murray is now a short odds-on chance with Sky Bet at 4/11.
