Our Wragge & Co Juvenile Novices Hurdle tips

Serabad should make his presence felt but FRANCHOEK confirmed himself as one of the leading lights in the novice hurdle ranks when landing a Grade 1 race at Chepstow over Christmas. He is taken to follow in the footsteps of his stablemate and last year’s winner, Katchit, by taking this. Tatenen can give the selection most to do once again.

Alan King took this last year with his talented Katchit and with that horse going onto win the Triumph Hurdle at the Festival the stable are taken a similar route, with the current Triumph joint-favourite, Franchoek. A fair animal on the flat last year he’s shown he’s a much better horse with a few hurdles put in front of him and with almost identical battling qualities to Katchit he should take this and then prove a tough nut to crack come March.

He’s already run here at Prestbury Park, winning one and coming second in the other, and so a third run will further add to his knowledge of the track, which will be another massive positive for his chances in seven weeks.

Top Tip: FRANCHOEK
Watch out for: TATENEN
